H07RN-F-450/750V
H07RN-F Harmonised Rubber Cable, 450/750 V
The harmonised 450/750 V rubber cable European enquiries write by name, produced to HD 22 and CE marked.
H07RN-F is a harmonised designation, and the four letters after the dash each mean something. H is harmonised, 07 is the 450/750 V class, R is a rubber-type insulation, N is a polychloroprene-equivalent sheath, and F means flexible with Class 5 conductor. A buyer who writes the code has already specified the construction; the supplier's job is to meet the HD 22.4 requirements that sit behind it.
The compound that earns the N is the point. A polychloroprene or equivalent synthetic elastomer sheath holds up against oil, ozone, weather and the mechanical abuse that an outdoor power lead meets, and HD 22.4 tests for each of those. Voltcore produces H07RN-F from 1.5 mm² to 240 mm² with CE marking available to CPR EN 50575, and supplies it on drums or cut to length with the harmonised code printed on the sheath.

Engineering characteristics
- Harmonised to HD 22.4 / DIN VDE 0282-4, so the code on the sheath is the code the inspector recognises.
- Polychloroprene-equivalent EM2 sheath, tested for oil, ozone and weather rather than assumed.
- Service range of −25 °C to +60 °C on mobile duty, which covers an outdoor European winter.
- Class 5 conductor to IEC 60228 with a lay chosen for the flexing duty the cable will see.
- Minimum bending radius of 6 × overall diameter on mobile use, tabulated per size.
- CE marking available to CPR EN 50575 for supply into the European market.
- Sizes from 1.5 mm² to 240 mm² in one to five cores, including 3G, 4G and 5G arrangements.

H07RN-F Harmonised Rubber Cable — frequently asked questions
What does the H07RN-F code actually stand for?
H means harmonised, 07 is the 450/750 V class, R is a rubber-type insulation, N is a polychloroprene-equivalent sheath, and F means flexible with a Class 5 conductor. The designation itself tells you the voltage, the insulation family, the sheath compound and the stranding class, which is why European buyers quote the code rather than a description.
Can H07RN-F be buried or left permanently outdoors?
It is built for mobile and temporary outdoor duty, not for direct burial. The sheath resists oil, ozone, weather and UV, so a temporary site lead, a marina supply or an event cabling will survive for years. For permanent burial the correct choice is an armoured or ducted power cable, because the rubber sheath is not rated for the mechanical load of backfill.
How does it differ from H05RR-F?
Voltage and duty. H05RR-F is a 300/500 V light-duty cord with rubber insulation and a rubber sheath, used for domestic and office portable equipment. H07RN-F is 450/750 V with the tougher N sheath for industrial and outdoor work. For a hand lamp H05RR-F is enough; for a site compressor H07RN-F is the requirement.
Do you hold the harmonised certification for this cable?
Voltcore produces H07RN-F to HD 22.4 / DIN VDE 0282-4 and supplies it with CE marking to CPR EN 50575. The harmonised code, size and standard are printed on the sheath. The wider certificate list covers RoHS, REACH and the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system certificates held at the Yixing plant.
